The statistical population of the study included experts aware of the subject of the research, which according to the purposeful selection of 15 of these people were identified as the research sample. Sampling was performed until theoretical saturation was reached. The collection tool of the present study is a semi-structured interview. In this research, open, axial and selective coding was performed in three sections. Maxqda software was used to analyze the data of the present study. The results showed that 30 initial codes were extracted in the coding process and categorized appropriately in the open coding section. The results also showed that the psychological effects of coach substitution in sports teams were identified in two categories, negative and positive. Therefore, it is suggested that sports teams in the process of coaching, to use the opinions of athletes to some extent to be able to control the negative effects created during the replacement.
