Abstract

The present study was designed and conducted to effect of participation in sports on the psychological adjustment of employees of Abadan Oil Refining Company. The method of the present study was descriptive-analytical and was a causal method based on structural equation modeling. The statistical population of the study included the employees of Abadan Oil Refining Company, which based on the information obtained, their number included 400 people. According to random selection and according to Morgan sample size table, 351 people were identified as the research sample. Finally, after distributing and collecting research questionnaires, 322 questionnaires were analyzed. Data collection tools in the present study included standard questionnaires. The statistical method used in the present study included the structural equation method. SPSS and PLS software were used to analyze the data of the present study. The results showed that participation in sports has an effect on psychological adjustment of 0.703, which according to the level of T, which is 17.381, it was found that participation in sports has an effect on psychological adjustment.
