Objectives: The present study was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of neurofeedback training on the success and performance of adolescent soccer players. Methods and Materials: The research method was a quasi-experimental type and a pre-test and post-test research design with a control group. The statistical population of this research was soccer players of Astaneh Ashrafieh city (north of Iran) in 2021, from this statistical population, 24 available adolescent boys were selected and after matching based on age and education level, they were divided randomly into 2 groups of 12 people in experimental and control group. Moreover, Sports performance questionnaires of Charbonneau (2001) and Sport Success Scale of Mousavi and Vaez Mousavi (2013) were administered as pre-test and post-test for both groups. Neurofeedback training was given to the group receiving neurofeedback training according to the treatment protocol of 15 sessions of 30 minutes. Results: The results of the univariate and multivariate analysis of covariance showed that the adjusted mean of the neurofeedback-based training group was significantly better in athletic performance at the post-test stage compared to the control group (P<0.001). Additionally, the adjusted mean of the neurofeedback-based training group was significantly better in all components and the total score of athletic success at the post-test stage compared to the control group (P<0.001). Conclusion: The findings indicate that neurofeedback has a significant impact on improving athletic performance and success. This method, by regulating neural processes and enhancing concentration, self-regulation, and stress management, helps athletes optimize their performance.
