Abstract

The goal of the present study is to investigate the role of hope in interacting with gender in the Mohaghegh Ardebili university athlete students Self-Efficacy. Statistical population includes all athlete students, male and female, who enrolled in Mohaghegh Ardebili university in the first semester of the academic year1389-90. Using random sampling, 120 boysand120 girls were considered from the Of the Statistical population. Statistical sample size was calculated using the formula Cochrane. The research Data was collected in a field setting by the use of adults ​​Hope scale Snyder and colleagues and Self-efficacy questionnaire Mark Sherer and James Maddox. Data was evaluated using two-factor analysis of variance. The results of the research showed that the male athlete Students had more Self-Efficacy than female athlete students. In the athlete students Self-Efficacy with different levels of Hope there is difference, and Hope interacting with gender affects Self-Efficacy.
