Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between workplace ostracism and job performance with the mediating role of psychological capital in the Employees of sports and youth departments of Ilam province. The method of this research is applied based on the purpose and based on how to obtain data of descriptive-correlational research type. The statistical population of the study includes all employees of sports and youth departments of Ilam province, numbering 157 people, which due to the limited statistical population; the sample was considered as equal to the statistical population. For data were collected using standard questionnaires including Job performance of Hershey and Goldsmith (1981), job performance, workplace ostracism of Ferris et al. (2008) and the Psychological Capital of Luthans et al. (2007). For data analysis, structural equation modeling method was used with the help of SPSS and Smart PLS software. The results showed that workplace ostracism and psychological capital have a significant effect on employee performance and the mediating role of psychological capital was also confirmed. Therefore, to increase the performance and productivity of employees, managers of sports and youth departments of Ilam province should pay special attention to employees' perceptions of workplace ostracism and psychological capital and provide them with the opportunity to establish friendly relations in the organization
