Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of sport nostalgia on the national football team fans' presence in the stadium. The purpose of this research is applied research and in terms of method of execution and in terms of type of analysis, it is descriptive correlation. The statistical population of this study consisted of all supporters of Iranian national football team which according to Morgan table 384 people were selected as sample of the study the results of this study showed that in sport nostalgic feeling, arousal, affectivity and familiarity were significant explanatory variables. So feeling of sporting nostalgia had a significant effect on the willingness of the national football team to attend the stadium in a positive direction. Therefore, by improving the feeling of sports nostalgia, it can improve the willingness of fans to attend the stadium
