Abstract
The aim of this study was investigation the effect of play-based sports exercises on high level cognitive processes for slow learners. The research method was quasi-experimental and pre-test-post-test with control and experiment groups.12 slow learner students have been chosen and after the pre-test, have been divided into 2 experiment (n=6) and control (n=6) groups. The experimental group have been participated in prescribing protocol for 3 sessions per week and a total of 12 sessions for 60 minutes. The measuring tool was Wisconsin card classification software and SPSS software version 21 was used for analyzing. Based on the results of multivariate analysis of variance with a significance level of 0.05, it has been found that there was a significant difference between the control group and the experiment group (sig = .029) and the experiment group obtained better scores. Therefore, it is recommended to include play-based sports exercises to the school physical education program as a complementary program to strengthen the high-level cognitive processes of slow learner students and their quality of education and future life.
