چکیده [English]

The purpose of this research was the effect of focused-attention meditation on competitive state anxiety and service performance of elite women's volleyball players in Torbat Heydarieh. The statistical population of the present study included the elite female volleyball players of Torbat Heydarieh city, who played in the super leagues and first division of the country in 2021-2022. The statistical sample consisted of 30 elite female volleyball players who were selected by purposive sampling. Finally, the research subjects were randomly divided into two experimental groups (15) and control group (15). The data collection tools included the subjects' information registration form, AAHPERD Volleyball Serving Test (1969) and CSAI-2 Competitive Anxiety Questionnaire. In order to analyze the data, descriptive statistics were used, and in the inferential statistics section, the ANCOVA method was used for the difference and average analysis of the research variables in the experimental and control groups. Also, the Kolmogorov-Smironov test was used to ensure the normality of the data distribution and the Levene’s Test was used for homogeneity of variances through SPSS statistical software. The results showed that meditation focused on cognitive anxiety, somatic anxiety, self-confidence and service performance (jump, wave and wave jump) of Torbat Heydarieh female elite volleyball players has a significant effect.
