The Physical Literacy Questionnaire for Children (PL-C Quest) is the first image-based self-report scale designed to assess physical literacy in children. Developed by Diao et al. (2024), this questionnaire consists of 30 items and encompasses four sub scales (physical, psychological, social, and cognitive). The aim of this study was to translate the PL-C Quest into Persian and examine its validity and reliability. The questionnaire was translated into Persian, and participants included 270 male and female students (135 boys and 135 girls) aged 10–12, selected via convenience sampling from elementary schools in Ashkezar County. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were employed to assess construct validity. Additionally, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was used to examine reliability, while convergent validity was evaluated using Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The Persian version of the PL-C Quest demonstrated a factor structure similar to the original English version. The reliability indices, measured by Cronbach’s alpha and composite reliability, were above 0.7 for all subscales, indicating satisfactory results. The Physical Literacy Questionnaire for Children (PL-C Quest) is a valid and reliable tool for assessing physical literacy in children aged 10–12.
