Work-related psychological stress in the workplace leads to job burnout. This phenomenon is more prevalent in occupations related to social services. This study aimed to investigate the effect of six-week weighted yoga training on job burnout and physical and mental health status among working women. The statistical population of this research comprised female employees working at the Prisoners Cooperation Foundation in Kerman. Thirty participants were selected via convenience sampling method and assigned to either an experimental group or a control group in a pretest-posttest control group design. The research instruments included the Maslach Burnout Inventory and the Goldberg General Health Questionnaire. The experimental group (n=15) performed six weeks of weighted yoga sessions, while the control group (n=15) received no intervention. while the control group received no training program during this period. Data were analyzed using the Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) test via SPSS software version 27. Results revealed statistically significant differences between experimental and control groups in job burnout and general health. Specifically, the experimental group demonstrated superior outcomes in general health scores, emotional exhaustion and Lack of personal accomplishment compared to the control group (P<0.05). These findings suggest that weighted yoga interventions can enhance physical and mental health and reduced job burnout among working women. Therefore, exercise and physical activity can increase employees' capacity to cope with psychological stress in the workplace.
