This study aimed to compare the psychological factors of social anxiety, wisdom and emotion regulation on nutritional disorders in active and inactive women of Mashhad city. This applied study was descriptive-comparative and based on structural equation modeling. The participants included all women of Mashhad city of all ages, using the method of 5 to 10 times the number of items in the instruments (55 items in total), 397 people were selected as a sample. To collect data, 4 questionnaires of eating disorders (Stice et al., 2004), wisdom (Schmit et al., 2012), social anxiety (Baker et al., 2002), and emotion regulation (Garnefski & Kraaij, 2006) were used. The results showed that the psychological factors of social anxiety, wisdom, and emotional regulation have a significant effect on nutritional disorders in active and inactive women of Mashhad city. Also, it was found that there is a significant difference between these factors in active and inactive women. Hence, the mean of the inactive group was higher than the active group. Finally, it was found that there is a significant difference between nutritional disorders in active and inactive women. Hence, the mean scores of the active group were higher than those of the inactive group. In general, it can be said that understanding and addressing psychological factors is crucial in the prevention and management of nutritional disorders, especially in vulnerable populations such as children, the elderly, and women.
